This morning I saw a painting with a sky I really loved so I decided to try an early morning yellow sky. The yellow does not come across in the photograph very well. I also muted the green field in the background to match the time of year. It was too green.

Elizabeth - it's great to see your progress on this piece! I really like the yellow sky! It's such a nice background for the blue of the mountains. And the face is very strong - even though it's not highlighted. Good job, girl!
