I felt like I was starting all over again so decided this was a good time to begin an "alphabet" series. I think I need the practice with a limited subject matter to get better control of color and values. The painting needs some refining - the top of the apple, the lines on the block but for one day this is what I ended up with. Feels good to be painting again! ~Gay

Beautifully done! The subtle color changes on the apple and how you gave it shine and dullness is masterful. i feel I could take a bite. The block is also perfectly rendered. Bravo! Elizabeth
