Three friends, all painters - Elizabeth Downer, Jane Seavers, and Gay Marks. We live in in two countries and three towns. We decided to use this blog to keep us connected and motivated to paint by sharing our work.
Today Jane came over to my side of the mountain and we had an afternoon painting session. Jane did two 5x7 landscapes working with more subtle greys. I think she was quite successful. I blocked in a second design with sheep (possible entry in the Meeker Sheepdog art contest) that's not quite as ominous as the dark one with the big eyes.

I took out the big tree on the right and changed the shapes some. There is quite a bit of glare on the photos from my poor lighting so the photo doesn't represent my painting that well. Still the basic idea is there.
Wow, I did it again....uploaded my photo! This is a sunset one that I'm pretty happy with. I can see that the halo around the foreground trees could be softened. What do you think?

This is a 6"X6"
Little snow painting that I'm thinking about making into a 12X12
Yesterday, Jane and Miriam and I went out to the Gila River looking for good painting spots. More driving than painting but it was a beautiful spring day and it was good to be together again.
